Fitz Frames is proposing a perpetual funding allocation to deliver prescription eyeglasses to children in need, in partnership with Vision to Learn and other outreach partners. The proposal includes an initial pilot program of $30,000 worth of ETH to provide glasses to approximately 300 kids, with progress reports to NounsDAO, and a one-time funding of $2ETH for outreach materials. The purpose of the program is to validate and refine the offering and delivery process, with the goal of expanding the efforts nationwide and internationally. Fitz and NounsDAO are proposing a pilot program to provide 300 no-cost vision tests and discounted annual memberships with two pairs of custom fit glasses plus unlimited replacements to kids in need, initially in Ohio and Detroit. The program also includes an additional free pair of Noun Frames, and an additional 2ETH to develop outreach materials and STEM curriculum. The pilot program is expected to run for 90 days, after which the NounsDAO can vote to expand, continue, or suspend the program.
